Troop 417

Rio Rancho Troop 417

Our troop is an active, scout-led troop. Our youth-led activities help our scouts strengthen their self-confidence, ethics, academics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills. Our service projects help strengthen our ties to the community, and provide our scouts with real-world experience. Our regular camping and hiking trips provide a fun learning environment where scouts can gain the necessary skills to earn their next ranks while enjoying the New Mexico wilderness. Visit us to discover fun, adventure, and learning through scouting.

Weekly Troop meetings are held from 7:00-8:30 pm at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Rio Rancho. Thinking about joining? Feel free to sit in on a meeting and see how we work!

Drop off at Savers is January 12, 2019

We are participating in a fundraiser with Savers to raise money for our trip to the Grand Canyon. We are collecting 33-gallon bags of soft items such as clothing, linens, and shoes and handbags. Our goal is 180 bags, but we would like to surpass this! Items need to be available for pick-up before January 11, or dropped off at a meeting no later than January 8, 2019. If you have anything to donate, please let us know. Contact Us!
